This course is for students who are seeking to communicate effectively in everyday situations and gain a sound understanding of the principles of the English language.
The morning lessons are designed around a course book and provides the opportunity for students to improve the skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking as well as enhancing and increasing their active / working vocabulary and grammar knowledge.
By the end of their stay the students can expect to have improved not only their communicative competence, through their study of 'survival' English and 'everyday' English but will have also achieved a new level of learner autonomy and confidence.
In the afternoon the students study exam techniques and exam preparation on a course specifically designed to suit their individual needs. Students wishing to attend university or colleges of higher education in the USA would be expected to have an IELTS qualification before being accepted on a course. For this reason this course will prove invaluable to their preparation for taking the exam.
