The General English Course in Fort Lauderdale is for students who are seeking to communicate effectively in everyday situations and gain a sound understanding of the principles of the English language.
The course structure is designed around a course book and provides the opportunity for students to improve the skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking as well as enhancing and increasing their active / working vocabulary and grammar knowledge.
By the end of their stay the students can expect to have improved not only their communicative competence, through their study of 'survival' English and 'everyday' English but will have also achieved a new level of learner autonomy and confidence.
Students also have an option to take the General Extra course, from 13:30 pm to 15:10 pm, which adds an extra 2 lessons of conversational class per week. The student will take those lessons on Thursday.
Normall General English course is offered with maximim of 15 students per class. If student wishes to have smaller classes, they can enroll in the Minigroup General English course. Maximum class size is 6 students which means more individual attention and more opportunities for discussion and detailed vocabulary building. Smaller class sizes ensure that the students have a greater chance of getting a course that is specifically designed around their individual needs and expectations.
