Internship English Program in Newport Beach is for students who intend to intern at a company in the U.S.. Internship placement will be based on the student's skills, experiences, personality, English ability, and so on. We can not guarantee a specific company, position or location. The program of J-1 intern and OPT are subject to change without notice because of changes in the law.
We offer 3 types of Internship Program:
F-1 Visa Internship Program: Unpaid
After having completed a minimum of 12 weeks ESL at our school, students start a maximum of 12 months internship at a local company. Since a variety of companies are on our placement list, you will be able to utilize your experiences and language skills throughout the internship period.
J-1 Visa Internship Program: Paid
Upon J-1 visa approval, students start a maximum of 18 months internship at a local company. Interns are allowed to receive a compensation legally. Interns are also allowed to change their status from F-1 to J-1 after they arrive in the U.S.
We cannot guarantee any type of visa since these are approved by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security may for any reason (or no reason at all) deny any visa. Interns must go back their countries after finishing the program.
OPT (Optional Practical Training): Paid
After having completed a minimum of 12 weeks ESL at our school and a certificate program at a college (one full academic year), a student may be authorized 12 months of practical training. By acqiring specialized knowledge at a collge, you will have business experience in this area.. You may now apply for a regular job in the US.
