After the completing this class, you will have improved your pronunciation and listening comprehension. In this workshop, you will improve the following ways:
- You will be able to distinguish between aurally among difficult English sounds and will improve your ability to produce these sounds.
- You will improve your ability to distinguish between at least four standard English intonation patterns and four standard English stress levels.
- You will become familiar with the International Phonetic alphabet and be able to determine correct pronunciations from transcriptions which use this alphabet (dictionaries).
Characteristics of the Afternoon program:
- Offered Monday and Wednesday
- From 1:45 pm to 3:45 pm
- Duration is 3 weeks, for 6 days total
- Number of lessons is 12
Characteristics of the Saturday program:
- Offered on Saturday only
- From 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
- Duration is 4 weeks, for 4 days total
- Number of lessons is 12
